My husband and I concentrated on helping the present. It started by going to the Super Ley and buying dog food and spreading it out sometimes in the parking lot so hungry animals could eat, donating to Nancy’s cause by donating food and bowls and always helping every stray we could along the way. But the real reason behind the "Tag of Love" came down to one distinctive night - a fourth of July weekend, when a small terrier dog who was scared of the fireworks had broken out of his safe American family home in Rocky Point. He was scared and very distraught. He was running down the street, suddenly in a strange place and all alone, searching for someone but not knowing where to look. Obviously a well taken care of animal, a member of someone’s family - we coaxed the dog to us and immediately noticed he had American/Arizona tags. But yet…we were in Mexico…We knew there was no way to contact the owners who must have been in Rocky Point (as us) for a long weekend. We contacted the guard gate to put up a notice and tended to the dog as if he were our own. It wasn’t an hour or so later we heard from the owners…they were not far away and had seen the notice at the guard gate . As we watched the reunion in tears, we suddenly realized this was pure luck! What were we to do if we brought our loved ones? Would they be so lucky to find someone to take them in? The answer, like so many we had seen, was a resounding no! This is where the "Tag of Love" will provide the security and peace of mind you will need when bringing your family to Mexico. This tag will make all the difference. Tammy and Matt Robbins
